Newspaper and TV reports

I don't know how long they will stay on line but here are two links to both a newspaper report and TV new report on Luke's incident.

Wednesday, October 29: They are moving some of the IV's on Luke this afternoon. They are watching Luke's improvement and the cardiologists are planning on operating tomorrow, Thursday at 11am PST (there is one patient scheduled ahead of him, so it could be even earlier), to repair the tear on his aorta.

Leroy,
Don't worry about the chickens, I am letting them go, so I can pray constanly for you and yours. Our hearts are breaking for you. But we know that Our God is in control and he is not surprised that this happened and in all of this He has a plan and a way for Luke. Hang in there, know that you all are loved and when you are down, we will lift you up. Get some rest, we will pray.
Love

This is a great idea to update all of us who are praying for all of you and especially for Luke. It was great to hear about the support that you are receiving from the people in CA. Is there a need for blood that we could help out from here? We'll be anxiously awaiting an update on how things go today with the surgery.

Luke, just remember God Loves you and so do we. The Lord has a plan and a reason for everything.

Ms Paula,
If you need anything(!!!!) Please let us know. We are all praying for Luke and Lauryn makes sure to include you in our mealtime prayers. (she always prays at the dinner table) We miss you and Love you. I have known you all my life and you all feel like family to me. I am really glad there is a recent picture of Luke on this site. I just keep picturing him as that little boy who used to run around church. We miss you and love you! Please give everyone our love!

"Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand." Think of it, a God who offers this exchange: give me your worries and I'll give you my peace.

I pray that the Lord's presence would be a tangible feeling to Luke as he battles through this hard time. I also hope and pray that in the midst of the craziness that Luke and his family would be hearing the Lord's voice clearer than ever; hearing God's words of love and encouragement.
"The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged." -Deuteronomy 31:8
Dithrich family -- I just want you to know that the YWAM Maui base of 70+ people has been lifting your family up in prayer. May you sense the difference that the prayers from all over the world is making...God is SOOO good!
My heart goes out to you all, I love you sooo much!

Bill, Paula,Becki, and Ben (and Luke as I know one day he will read all these messages from so many who love him):

My constant thoughts and prayers are with you as you walk through this valley. But I believe that while Jesus has always walked with your family, He will now carry you when you feel you have no strength left. Rejoice that you have a Father with a plan and a family that loves Him. You are loved by many and prayed for by more people than are imaginable. The body of Christ is widespread, but always joined together when a brother or sister is in need.

Love to you all

We are constantly praying for you, Luke, for supernatural and natural healing in your body, mind, and spirit, and for peace and comfort for Bill, Paula, Ben, and Becki. We know that God is going to work a miracle through this. Rom. 8:28 - "And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose." God did not cause this incident (sin and evil did), but He will cause it to work out for His Glory.

We are also praying for Gregory Cabral, the man who hit Luke. He currently is showing no remorse for what he did, but we are praying that God changes his heart and that he comes to a saving knowledge of the Lord. No one is beyond hope, and we ask that everyone reading this post would include Gregory in their prayers.

Luke, our heart is breaking for you, but we pray that in the midst of what you are experiencing, you would have a supernatural encounter with God, and that one day soon you will tell us about it.

With all our love,
Uncle Mike, Aunt Tricia (Patty), Andrea, and David
