Luke and I took advantage of the extra day and paid a visit to the aircraft carrier Midway. We both had a great time as evidenced by the following photos:

and a heavily armed fighter.
Luke hangs on for a wild ride.
And gets a little too close to a jet engine intake!

The highlight of the day was climbing into a fighter jet flight simulator cockpit that physically moved in all the directions that the pilot steered. Luke took us up steep climbs, deep dives, barrel rolls and flying upside down! What a ride! And he even shot down three enemy planes too!!
And so the sun sets on my final day in San Diego.

Well Done! And what beautiful blue skies! Such a contrast from the many inches of snow outside this window.
What a great ending to this trip!! Horsing around and having some fun. God is so awesome in the blessings he has given in spite of the challenges. Great to see you both enjoying your last day together. Luke looks like he's getting around really good. Bill, thank you so much for your blog entries during these hard times. I don't know Luke but he seems like a guy I'd like to know. He's an inspiration to many people. I'm sure he knows how lucky he is to have such a loving, supportive family. I hope Luke adds some entries to this page soon.
